Alexa Ranks and Further News

I am really sorry, my dear folks, about my absence, or rather my silence. It has been few days but the truth of the matter is that I was exceptionally busy with a number of things, and so busy, that I didn't even have the time to complete my sleep well. I'm not exactly out of the woods yet but would surely be soon.

The good news here is that we have broken into the first million with the Alexa rank as of today. The latest Alexa rank of this blog is:

This is really a very important milestone and it means a lot.

Personal Blogging Milestones

I have reached 115 posts till now and this is the 116th post since May 1, 2008. And in the month of August, I have had 73 posts and this is the 74th post. When I crossed 50 posts earlier this month, I was really excited. And I didn't even inform you people about crossing the 100th post.

When I began this blog, my target was 500 posts in the first year. Now, I have an average of about 30 posts [if I reach 120 posts in August] per month, which means I'm pretty close.

However, my immediate target is 100 posts for the month of August, which means I am about 25-27 posts short and I have 10 days to go. And I would certainly like to maintain the quality of my posts. I would also like to keep my posts informative and helpful to a number of people including my students at the University.

A Personal Blogging Milestone

All right, folks. Today is August 8, 2008. My blog had its first entry on May 1, 2008, and in the last three months and one week to be precise, before this post, we have reached a milestone of fifty posts. My personal goal was to reach a milestone of five hundred posts in the first year, which would have meant forty posts a month, so, if you look at it from my perfectionist perspective, we are lagging behind. But it doesn't look too bad, eh?

And then, we have a posts on a variety of issues and matters. I am happy that this is shaping up well and I would like to tell you that there is a lot more to follow. I still need to work on my literary, linguistic, artistic as well as financial practice, or should I call it 'praxis', and it should be here as well in its full glory.
